High quality material from Gedeng with 12 years of perfect storage (CYH brand storage), which is really hard to find.
Time as transformed the typical Gedeng bitterness to a primarily menthol-woody one with a cool herbal note in the background, which gives this tea a really unique character combined with a super intense Qi!

The reason I like this tea best of the Cang teas so far is the extremely intense Qi: while Cang Yi already had a strong Qi, this one takes it up a notch, even if the character is completely different. While Cang Yi is more “stoner-like” as mentioned, here it is initially more stimulating, but then, starting from the nose, it somehow wraps the whole face in cotton wool, so that as the infusions progress you feel downright “foggy” (in a positive sense) as the effect builds up. Combined with sufficient depth, the tea combines the points that are most important to me in a Sheng – and at an absolutely fair price, if that doesn’t get full marks then I don’t know what does!
